The previous year, I had planned to host the juried art exhibition, but…

Worldwide, the COVID-19 outbreak is still having an impact on people. In light of this, and in an effort to give artists time to regroup artistically, financially, and spiritually, I carefully examined 12 Inches of Sin to see how the juried art event may be enhanced in order to more effectively support artists everywhere.

You can anticipate me returning to juried art exhibitions in the not-too-distant future. One of my objectives is to increase the breadth and depth of the 12 Inches of Sin series in order to raise the standard of the genre as a whole.

To Build A Museum

To Build A Museum details the academic and professional path that lead me to construct a museum.

My dissertation for my Doctor of Philosophy in Erotology was phenomenological. It was experienced rather than qualitative or quantitative. It emphasized sexual education through art. From the initial design until the facility’s activation, there were numerous steps involved. After many years, I made the decision to finally record the voyage that served as the impetus for my subsequent professional activities. To Build A Museum will encompass curatorial and facility design, integrated artist engagements, strategic community partnerships, and educational programming.

Promoting an understanding and appreciation of erotic ephemera, film, fine art, and literature that provides access, exploration, and expression without judgment; fostering educational resources related to emotional, mental, physical, and sexual health; and the cultivation of equality, diversity, and inclusivity for all is the mission of this ongoing project. My hope is that the documentation provided will inspire others to strengthen their communities via artistic creativity, collaboration, and exploration.

The Wall Saints

Working together with The Wall Saints, a collective specializing in fine art and mural design that is situated in Las Vegas, Nevada, has been an incredible pleasure. Artists Derek Douglas (aka SNIPT) and Anthony Castillo (aka TONE CASTLE) are at the helm of the collective. The Wall Saints create eye-catching mural projects that are site-specific and lively for private art collectors, corporate stakeholders, local governments, and charitable organizations all around the United States.

I am very happy to see their next mural and exhibition projects come to reality thanks to ArtCulture PR.

12 Inches of Sin | COVID-19

I was prepared to announce in March that the next 12 Inches of Sin would begin in the fall of 2020. Because to COVID-19 and its global significance, I determined that it was prudent to cancel. It breaks me heart to say this, but it is simply impractical to proceed at this time.

To date, artists from 27 nations have participated, and I eagerly anticipate the next celebration of this unique artistic genre will attract more artists from around the world.

I eagerly anticipate the next time we can all be together.

A Phalanx of Angels Ascending

When resident artist James Stanford created his site-specific mural “A Phalanx of Angels Ascending” to memorialize the legendary Blue Angel statue that looked over Downtown Las Vegas for 61 years from its mid-century perch atop the Blue Angel Motel, the summer in Las Vegas got even hotter. The mural covers over 2,000 square feet and encompass all three sides of The 705 building, an arts incubator located at 705 North Las Vegas Boulevard.

Alison Chambers, the owner of The 705, commissioned me to curate the installation. It truly was a labor of love.
